*** At Integral Therapy the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program is a combination of MBSR and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Behaviour (MBCT). It is run over 8 weeks on a Wednesday from 7.30 to 9.00 pm. You can contact Denise about the next availability and suitability. Starts Wednesday September 23rd 8.15 to 9.45 pm. With a full day event on October 24th.
Starting Wed Sept 23rd, every Wed for 8 weeks, 8:15 – 9:45pm.
In this 8 week program you will learn to notice your thoughts, behaviour patterns and any automatic unhelpful reactions.
Each class is 90 mins long with a full days practice on Saturday October 24th.
This program creates a strong mindfulness foundation and can provide a strong sense of Self-Awareness.
Previous particpants have shared that they have experienced a reduction in stress levels, an increase of enjoyment of life and an increase in confidence and resiliance.
The programme consists of 8 weekly sessions and a one-day online retreat. The program recommends a daily home practice which will range from 15 to 40 minutes – this is supported by a workbook and audio’s.
The sessions offer guided instruction on a range of meditation practices, including; Seated Meditation, Walking Meditation, Mindful eating, Mindful Movement, the Body Scan and 3-Minute Breathing Space.
As well as these formal techniques, participants are encouraged to practice informally and are given suggestions to help integrate an attitude of ‘mindfulness’ into their daily lives.
